Kisspeptin (KP-10 / KP-54 / MVT-602)
Kisspeptin is a natural "gatekeeper" peptide that switches on the brain's reproductive hormone axis. It is being studied for triggering ovulation in IVF, for menstrual cycle disorders, and for low sexual desire.
KP-10: Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe-NH₂ (10 aa). KP-54: 54 aa. MVT-602: structurally stabilized analog. KISS1 gene.
Gatekeeper of the reproductive axis. 5 RCTs in JAMA Netw Open and J Clin Invest (2020-2025). Intranasal KP-54 stimulates LH/FSH in healthy individuals and in hypothalamic amenorrhea. MVT-602 as an ovulation trigger in IVF (phase 3). RCTs: improved sexual behavior in men and women with HSDD.
KISS1R (GPR54) agonist on hypothalamic neurons → ↑GnRH neurons → ↑GnRH pulsatility → ↑LH/FSH. A key integrator of metabolic status signals (leptin, insulin) with reproductive function. Central libido mechanism via the limbic system.
Clinical studies used KP-10 IV at ~0.1–1 nmol/kg. Intranasal KP-54: research protocols. MVT-602 SC: phase 3. Only under the supervision of a reproductive specialist/endocrinologist.
Level A Human clinical trials. There are randomized controlled trials (RCTs), or the compound has been approved by a regulatory agency. The most reliable level. 5 RCTs in JAMA and J Clin Invest. MVT-602 in Phase 3.
⚠️ Used only in research and diagnostic protocols. Not suitable for self-use. Consultation with a reproductive specialist is mandatory.
Research peptides are laboratory reagents (Research Use Only). They are not medicines and are not intended for use in humans or animals.
